Ladies, are you trying to do it all? Are you are juggling career, home, and family? Do you need a break and a good laugh? If your answer is yes, please join Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare for a stress free evening dedicated to you. The evening will start off with healthy appetizers followed by conversation with women who are experiencing similar life challenges. Keynote speaker, humorist, comedian and author, Sally Edwards will present Laugh to Good Health and will bring the audience to laughter with reference to humor found in your daily life and in the workforce. There will be recurring audience interaction and participation that will bring the community together.  All women attending the program will receive an autographed copy of Sally’s book, Go With the Fear! Neck, Back Pain and Neuropathy

A wellness screening that includes a total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and glucose measurement. The screening is a Cholestech finger-stick.  Results are available within 10 minutes and will be discussed with each participant following the screening.  A light breakfast will be provided.  Fasting 12 hours is required. Note:  Do not apply lotion to hands prior to the screening.

You teach the class, we provide the syllabus and materials. Program kits can be checked out for three days. The following topics are available:

Edward Medical Weight Loss Clinic

This clinic is a weight loss program tailored to each individual and supervised by Dr. Zaid Jabbar, medical director of the Edward Medical Weight Loss Clinic and internal medicine physician with Edward Medical Group. The clinic combines medically-supervised use of FDA approved weight loss medications with additional program options for each patient to achieve maximum results. Each patient will receive a thorough initial consultation and evaluation, which may include a baseline EKG and lab work.
