The Edward Foundation’s 24th annual gala, The Big Gig: Wonderland, will be held on Saturday, September 27 at the Westin Lombard, 70 Yorktown Center in Lombard. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails, followed by dinner, dancing and a live auction. The gala is the Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year and supports Edward Hospital programs and services that directly impact patients.
A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available, tables of ten or individual tickets can be purchased and businesses can donate items for the silent and live auctions.
In addition, the gala will feature a “Choose Your Experience Raffle.” The winner will be able to select between $2,500 in cash or one of three packages: a Ritz Carlton Hawaiian Eco-Adventure for two, Choose Your Championship for two (events like the Belmont Stakes, PGA Championship, MLB All-Star Game, Orange Bowl, NHL All-Star Game) or Sip and Soar through Napa Valley for two. The raffle is open to the public. The winner does not need to be in attendance.
For more information about participating in the raffle, attending, sponsoring or donating, visit www.edward.org/biggig or call (630) 527-3918.
More than 750 people attended the 2013 gala, which raised a record $800,000, a portion of which helped fund the construction of a new 24-bed advanced Intensive Care Unit for Edward’s most vulnerable patients in need of critical care.
Charitable contributions to the Edward Foundation help Edward invest in the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, recruit world-class medical professionals and deliver the highest quality care to almost 1.7 million patients within its reach.
