Please, make yourself at home

We want you and your family to feel at home so we've created an atmosphere designed to bring you comfort - from our healing garden to your choice of treatment settings including private, semi-private or group treatment rooms. You can watch TV, read your favorite book or magazine, or chat with our "Faces of Hope" volunteers while receiving treatment.

We have light snacks available, including coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, graham crackers, saltines and peanut butter. You can also order a full meal from the Edward Hospital kitchen with our Cancer Center Culinary Service.  Between 11am-1pm, you can order over the phone and pay (using your Visa or MasterCard) for your meals. Our volunteers will pick it up and deliver it to you in the Cancer Center treatment area for your enjoyment!

We plan for weddings, childbirth, college and retirement but most of us never take the time to communicate our end of life wishes with our families. During a crisis or critical illness, the burden of these decisions weighs heavily on our loved ones. Advance Directives are legal documents that speak for you when you cannot speak for yourself. These decisions are best made before being faced with a life-threatening illness or injury. Meet one-on-one with a member of the Palliative Care Team who will be able to answer questions regarding Advance Directives and assist in completing a Power of Attorney for Health Care. Registration is required for these 1-hour sessions. To register, please call Edward Class Registration at (630) 527-6363.
