The body uses its vestibular system to give it input about your body's position or movement. The vestibular system is comprised of your inner ear, your eyes, your brain, your muscle, and your tactile sensation. If any part of your system is not relaying information correctly you can suffer from dizziness, ringing in your ears, vertigo, nausea, loss of balance, and or blurred vision along with the possibility of several other symptoms. Here at Edward our therapists will provide you with Vestibular Rehabilitation by doing thorough evidence based evaluations and by providing appropriate treatments in an individualized plan of care.
The treatment may include physical correcting maneuvers, exercises to help you adapt to your symptoms, re-education of your neuromuscular system, along with a home exercise program. Here at Edward we will work together with your Physician by sending all evaluations and progress reports directly to their offices.
If you have further questions about vestibular rehabilitation or if you want to be screened by one of our licensed physical therapists to see if therapy is appropriate for you call us at (630) 527-3375.
