The Robert Crown Center for Health Education, in partnership with Linden Oaks Hospital and the Kane County Health Department, is offering "Tobacco Truths," an online CEU-credit course to help healthcare workers increase their knowledge of the tobacco industry and tobacco-related health issues. This new, research-based course, developed by Robert Crown Center health educators, is fully self-paced and online.
Once primarily a destination, the Robert Crown Center has grown into a dynamic force for change, reaching out to educate diverse audiences throughout the eight counties in the greater Chicago region. Helping children grow up healthy, happy and safe is a priority for parents and communities; this is also the RCC mission.
Tobacco Truths offers all of the following features:
- Online, self-paced, and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Research-based with the latest information from Centers for Disease Control, National Institute of Drug Abuse, Mayo Clinic, and other respected institutions
- Good for eight professional development (CPDU) credits
- Available for LCSW, MSW, LSW, LCPC, LPC, CADC professional development
