Thanks to the generosity of Jim Corno and the Chicago Blackhawks, patients and staff at the Edward Cancer Center and Edward Hospital in Naperville had a chance to view, touch, kiss and have their picture taken with the Stanley Cup on Monday, September 30.
Mr. Corno is President of Comcast SportsNet (which airs many Blackhawks games) and a patient at Edward Cancer Center. The Blackhawks planned to visit Mr. Corno’s home to show him the Stanley Cup, but he asked if they would take it to the Edward Cancer Center for the enjoyment of patients and staff. The Blackhawks graciously agreed. In addition to the Edward Cancer Center, the Stanley Cup also made its way to Edward Hospital’s 4th floor, where Medical Oncology patients had a chance to see and have their picture taken with the world’s most famous and recognizable sports trophy.
