Benefits of Orthopedic Surgery
Whether your injury is the result of normal wear and tear or an acute injury experienced at work or while playing sports, your surgeon will discuss the full range of treatment options available. The goal is always to get you back to your normal activities. In general, surgical treatment may be the best solution for joint and/or muscular pain that doesn't lessen over time and doesn't respond to non-surgical methods such as therapies and medications.
Today's surgical treatments for worn out knees and hips have advanced and are far less invasive than they used to be. At Edward, we offer a wide range of orthopedic treatments and procedures, including:
- Arthroscopic surgery
- Joint care for hip, knee and shoulder
- Patient-specific, partial and total joint replacement for hip, knee and shoulder
- Treatment, including minimally invasive surgical procedures, for spine and back conditions
- Sport medicine surgeries
Advanced Technology for Orthopedic Surgery
Edward is equipped with the newest and most innovative technologies for orthopedic surgery. This enables our independent surgeons to offer each and every patient the best outcomes with the quickest recoveries. Some highlights of our newly renovated surgical suites include:
Image-guided navigation – With 3D imaging ability, orthopedic surgeons can visualize an unprecedented level of detail as they operate. This allows them to control their movements with great precision, making real-time adjustments within the procedure. Greater precision means less impact to surrounding tissues and a quicker recovery for you.
ARCH extension table for anterior hip replacement surgery – The ARCH table positions patients appropriately for this innovative approach to hip replacement, allowing surgeons to perform the procedure with just a few small incisions to the front of the body. Entering through front of the body allows the surgeon to reach and stabilize the joint area without detaching muscles or tendons. Recovery times are more than twice as fast than that of traditional posterior surgery.
