We offer a variety of topics to increase employee health awareness and encourage self-responsibility to creating a healthy and well lifestyle. If you have any special requests or have a particular topic in mind, we will be happy to arrange an appropriate speaker. Lecture topics are available upon request and are listed below. CPR for Health Care Providers This American Heart Association class will cover choking, rescue breathing and one/two rescuer CPR for infants, children and adults. AED's are also presented with hands on practice. Participants who successfully complete the skills and written tests will be awarded a Health Care Provider Card. Certification card is valid for 2 years.
Recognition class (4 hour) Renewal Class (3 Hour) for participants who possess a current AHA card
Heartsaver CPR/AED - Adult/Child This American Heart Association CPR course is designed for the non-healthcare individual who requires certification for their workplace. This class will cover choking, rescue breathing, and ONE person rescuer CPR for adults, and children. Class also includes training & practice on the use of AED's for the adult and child victim. Participants who successfully complete the skills test will be awarded a Heartsaver CPR/AED Certification Card valid for 2 years. This is a 2.5 hour class.
Heartsaver First Aid Basics This class will familiarize individuals with how to recognize and care for victims of illness and sudden injuries. Participants will practice skills related to bleeding, shock, poisoning, and heat-related illness. Each participant will receive a workbook with a refresher CD. Upon successful completion of class requirements, participants will receive an American Heart Association certification card valid for 2 years. This is a 3.5 hour class.
Bloodborne Pathogens The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for Bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.
Family and Friends CPR Anytime 80% of all sudden cardiac arrests occur in the home. This course is designed to teach family members the lifesaving skill of CPR and is ideal for a lunch and learn presentation. This easy-to-follow program allows participants to learn the critical skills of CPR in a 45 minute presentation.
