If you're one of the 67 percent of Americans considered overweight or obese, you're not alone. According to Steve Thurston, program manager at Edward Health & Fitness Centers, you can find the support you need from friends, family and professionals at Edward.
There are different types of support available, so choose what works best with your personality and goals. Edward offers "Three paths to lose the waist, lose the risk," which provides three approaches to lifestyle management - medically based, behaviorally, or fitness-based. Edward Health & Fitness also offers small group personal training that gives you the expertise of the personal training staff with a small group of your friends and family.
Making the decision to lose weight may be one of the most important choices you ever make. Follow that smart choice with another — a method of support — and you may find that reaching your health goals is not as difficult as you think.
