Whether you're a paramedic working in the Edward EMS system, or a licensed EMT hoping to earn your paramedic license, the Edward EMS staff wants to help you get the job done.
Edward Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, is the state-designated resource hospital for the EMS system made up of Bolingbrook Fire Department, Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District, Naperville Fire Department, Romeoville Fire Department, Warrenville Fire Protection District, Edward Ambulance Services, and Monarch Landing Senior Living Community. In that capacity, Edward is responsible for over 450 system personnel who provide care for more than 15,000 patients annually. The system participates in the Illinois Department of Public Health Region 8 quality improvement studies. This is part of our ongoing commitment to quality care that is both evidence-based and safely administered.
Edward also provides initial and continuing education for paramedics, EMT-Bs, and Emergency Department nurses who provide radio direction to the pre-hospital personnel.
