Edward Hospital is the primary sponsor for three of the most exciting and fun races of the running season – the 2nd annual Edward Hospital Naperville Marathon & Half Marathon on Sunday, November 9, the 16th annual Edward Plainfield Harvest 5K Run/Walk and Kidz Miler on Sunday, September 28, and the Edward Hospital FraidyCat 5K & Meow Mile on Sunday, October 26.
2014 Edward Hospital Naperville Marathon & Half Marathon
Race entries are available from the Edward Foundation for the 2nd annual Edward Hospital Naperville Marathon & Half Marathon, which will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014. The races will start and finish near Naperville Central High School.
Visit www.edward.org/marathon to register for an entry into either race and raise funds for the Edward Foundation, which is the Premier Charity in the Naperville Marathon Charity Partner program.

2014 Edward Plainfield Harvest 5K Run/Walk and Kidz Miler
The Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting registrations for the 16th annual Edward Plainfield Harvest 5K Run/Walk and Kidz Miler. The races will be held on Sunday, September 28, with the start/finish at Village Green Park in downtown Plainfield. The Kidz Miler will begin at 8 a.m. followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. A post-race party will be held at Tap House Grill, 22402 W. Lockport St., 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit local charities and community service organizations. Last year, more than 1,000 runners/walkers registered for the 5K and more than 160 children participated in the Kidz Miler.
The online registration fee for the 5K (adults and children 13 and older) is $35 and the Kidz Miler (children 6-12) is $15. The deadline for online registration is Thursday, September 25 at 7 p.m. After that and on race day, 5K registration will be $40 and the Kidz Miler will cost $18. Pre-registered participants will receive a T-shirt and goody bag during the pre-race packet pick-up on Friday-Saturday, September 26-27 at the Edward Plainfield ER, 127th St. and Van Dyke Rd.
Kids 6-12 years old can also take part in the Edward Plainfield Harvest 5K “Design a T-Shirt” contest. The winning design will be on the shirts handed out to the children who sign up for the Kidz Miler. The winner of the “Design a T-Shirt” contest will also receive a $30 iTunes gift card.
