As a Physician Assistant, Sears works with Institute neurosurgeon Kevin Kelly, MD to manage the care of neurosurgery patients in the hospital and clinic setting, and serves as first assistant during neurosurgical procedures.
Dr. Kelly treats and performs neurosurgical procedures on patients with brain tumors, aneurysms, vascular abnormalities in the brain, brain trauma, pituitary tumors, spinal trauma, spinal cord tumors, degenerative spine conditions, spinal fractures, chronic neuropathic pain and median/ulnar nerve decompression.
Sears is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants. He received his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Downers Grove and Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
