Edward is committed to promoting the scientific integrity of clinical research, and the rights and welfare of clinical research participants, by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and processes for the disclosure, evaluation and management of potential or actual conflicts of interest on the part of individuals involved in the design, conduct and reporting of clinical research at Edward.
Click here for the Edward Policy RSCH_019, "Conflicts of Interest in Clinical Research" which is subject to further revision pending approval by the Edward Institutional Review Board and Policy and Procedure Committee. This policy is being implemented to insure the integrity of clinical research and protection of the rights and welfare of research participants, in accordance with applicable regulations of the Public Health Service ("PHS") of the Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The information provided is current as of August 22, 2012 and will be updated upon final committee and board approval and annually thereafter. In accordance with applicable law, Edward will make available information concerning identified Financial Conflicts of Interest held by investigators that receive PHS funding within 5 calendar days of a request for this information.
