Linden Oaks seeks new members for Patient/Family Advisory Committee
 
(Naperville, IL – January 28, 2014) – Linden Oaks at Edward is seeking new members for its Patient/Family Advisory Committee, which is made up of former Linden Oaks patients, family members of former and current Linden Oaks patients and Linden Oaks employees.

Linden Oaks is searching for committee members who live in the hospital system’s service area throughout the west and southwest suburbs, including former patients who are at least six months into a recovery process.

The committee’s goal is to seek input from patients and families about all aspects of Linden Oaks, including access to care, inpatient and outpatient programs, the treatment process from admission to discharge, patient/family satisfaction, the physical environment, links to other behavioral health providers in the community, and written materials and resources.

Committee members are limited to two-year terms.  Meetings are held the second Monday of each month, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Linden Oaks, located on the campus of Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St. in Naperville.

Those interested in serving on the Linden Oaks Patient/Family Advisory Committee should contact Terry Ciszek, Director, Outpatient Services & Social Work, at (630) 305-5012.  The deadline to apply is Friday, February 28. 

Linden Oaks at Edward is a 108-bed behavioral health hospital on Edward Hospital’s Naperville campus with outpatient offices in Naperville, Plainfield, St. Charles, Woodridge and Yorkville.  Linden Oaks has more than 30 psychiatrists on its medical staff and 350 employees to serve residents of Chicago’s west and southwest suburbs.

Linden Oaks uses a combination of inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and traditional outpatient programs to treat adolescents, adults and older adults.  Linden Oaks has programs for anxiety disorders, chemical dependency, addiction, depression, eating disorders, geriatric conditions and self-injury.

The Joint Commission has awarded Linden Oaks the Gold Seal of Approval for commitment to excellence in six disease management programs:  addiction services, bipolar disorders, depression, eating disorders, geriatrics and self-injury.  And, Linden Oaks has earned the American Nurses Association’s Award for Outstanding Nursing Quality.
