04. How do I know if my health plan will cover my medical visit or healthcare services?
Check with your health plan or your employer regarding any pre-certification requirements prior to receiving health care services as coverage varies with each plan. The hospital and/or physician’s office staff will most likely not know whether your insurance company will cover a particular service.
