Our Emergency Department is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians who never stop learning. They learn through the continuing medical education that's on their schedule each year. Most importantly, they learn by listening to their patients.
The ED staff nurses all are certified in advanced cardiac life support and most are certified emergency nurses (CEN). And nearly half are certified trauma nurses. Many also have completed advanced courses in pediatric emergency care. And 95 percent of Edward ED technicians are specially trained as emergency medical technicians.
Rounding out the team is a group of skilled trauma surgeons. We also have neurologists and other specialists on call.
