This test utilizes very fast x-ray technology to take a three-dimensional image of the beating heart. It is minimally-invasive so it does not require sedation like a cardiac catheterization. Dye is simply injected into an arm prior to the test. It is typically used to diagnose more complex conditions like abdominal aortic aneurysm or congenital heart disease.
