Urogyne Services is led by board certified urogynecologists of Illinois Urogynecology, Ltd.: Michael Moen, MD; Michael Noone, MD; and Brett Vassallo, MD.
Urogynecologists are subspecialists in obstetrics and gynecology. They complete additional training in the treatment of conditions that affect the female pelvic organs and the muscles and connective tissue that support them.
Patients will also work closely with a member of Edward's physical therapy staff who has received specialized training in this area. Urodynamic testing is completed by a trained urodynamic nurse specialist, Carol Vignali.
Carol Vignali, RN
Carol has been a registered nurse for more than 29 years. Her extensive focus has been on women's health, starting with labor and delivery, post-partum and nursery for many years. She served in leadership positions including OB manager, quality improvement, infection control, and staff development/community education. Carol has been actively involved with pelvic medicine and urodynamic testing for the last seven years. She came on board at Edward Hospital in 2006 to develop and implement the Edward Urogyne Services Department in conjunction with Illinois Urogynecology, Ltd. from Park Ridge, IL. Together, along with the Rehabilitation Services Department, Edward Hospital is able to offer comprehensive pelvic medicine services to the women in Naperville and neighboring communities. Carol oversees the program, performs outpatient urodynamic procedures and believes that no woman, young or old, should have to suffer from pelvic pain or incontinence.
