A commemorative gift is a meaningful way to remember a loved one. Celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other milestone, or pay honor to the memory of a special person by supporting an important cause. When you make a commemorative gift, the Edward Foundation will contact the person or family on your behalf. Commemorative giving includes memorials, the Cradle Club, Wings of Hope Angel Garden, and Tribute to Hope.
Events and Sponsorships - Purchasing a ticket to one of Edward's special events is tax deductible. It's a great way to show your support for Edward. There are many sponsorship opportunities including ad sponsorships and donations to our auction. Edward hosts special events throughout the year and sponsorships are a great way to support Edward and bring awareness to your corporation.
Memorials - Memorial gifts may be designated to a specific area of the hospital, or you may wish to establish a Memorial Fund to pool the gifts in memory of an individual for the purchase of a particular piece of medical equipment or to create a professional education scholarship. Such gifts allow for the naming of the project, scholarship or program in memory of your loved one. To make a Memorial Gift, please click here for the form or call (630) 527-3954 or email Diane Renn at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Cradle Club - The birth of your baby will change your life forever. You can commemorate this momentous occasion by making a contribution to the Edward Cradle Club. Your contribution will be used to support continued excellence in women and children's services at Edward Hospital. You will receive an etched laminate footprint with your baby's name, footprint and date of birth encased in a beautiful 3x5 double frame with a spot for your baby's picture to display proudly at home. You will also receive an acrylic holiday ornament medallion with your little one's name, footprint and birth date. A replica plastic medallion footprint will be displayed through your baby's first birthday on the Cradle Club wall, located in the Women & Children's area of Edward Hospital.
To get started, please click here and complete the Cradle Club form. This program is open to you for three months after your baby's birth. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of your footprint package. For more information, please call (630) 527-3954 or email Diane Renn at email@example.com.
SHARE Program / Wings of Angel Garden - The SHARE Program is a local and national organization that serves and supports those who are touched by the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth and early infant death.
A Walk to Remember will raise funds that are vitally needed to support SHARE's mission to provide support to families experiencing the death of a child, raise public awareness and promote research. One way that SHARE accomplishes its mission is the Wings of Hope Angel Garden, a place families can visit year-round for remembrance and reflection. Funds raised through A Walk to Remember have been directed toward the beautification of an existing angel garden at Edward. After five successful Walk fundraisers, the long hoped-for garden became a reality in June 2010. View pictures of the garden.
Families are invited to purchase a memorial feature for the garden, such as an etched brick paver, etched butterfly or garden element. Click here for more information or contact (630) 527-3263.
A Tribute to Hope - to promote the advancement of cancer care. Each year, the Edward Cancer Center helps hundreds of individuals in their fight against cancer. Contributions made through A Tribute to HOPE are used to provide special support and educational programs, equipment for cancer treatment and therapy, and continuing education and training of oncology nurses. Gifts in any amount are gratefully received. Contributions of $500 or more are commemorated with a plaque permanently displayed on the Tribute to HOPE donor wall in the Cancer Center, and gifts or pledges of $10,000 or more are also commemorated on the donor wall in the hospital's main lobby. For more information, please call (630) 527-3954 or email Diane Renn at firstname.lastname@example.org.
