How to find us Our locations |
Type 1 diabetes, previously known as "juvenile diabetes," is usually diagnosed in children and young adults, but can occur at any age. In type 1 diabetes, the body does not produce insulin, which is necessary for the body to be able to use glucose.
Most appointments for people with type 1 diabetes are individual sessions. In order to provide you with the best care possible, we encourage patients to schedule sessions with both a nurse educator and dietitian educator. Please call (630) 527-3213 for more information.
