External/Remote Access Questions:
Q. Do I get paid for accessing My Edward from home?
A. No. Edward is offering remote access as a convenience to employees.
Q. Why do I need to access My Edward from home; why not just do it at work?
A. It is at the discretion of the employee to access My Edward remotely. It is not required. Employees can access My Edward only at work if they choose.
Q. What will I have access to when logging in remotely from a non-Edward computer?
A. You will have access to nearly everything available on the My Edward employee website, including HRXpress to view your pay voucher, the online phone directory, benefit information and current Edward news from the My Edward email. You will not, however, have access to some web based applications on the My Edward website, such as API.
Q. Will I have access to Outlook mail?
A. If you currently have remote access to Outlook, you will continue to have remote access. Your manager must submit a request to ISS to have remote access to these applications.
Q. How do I get access to additional applications remotely?
A. Your manager must submit a request to ISS to have remote access to additional applications.
Q. What are the benefits of remote access?
A. The biggest benefit of remote access is the convenience to catch up on Edward news and information or view pay and benefits information from home. It can also be beneficial if you're simply looking for a phone number.
Q. Can I use any computer to access My Edward remotely?
A. Yes, as long as it has internet access and a supportive browser (see next question for more details).
Q. Do I need to have a certain browser to use the My Edward access site?
A. In order to have use Secure 2, you need to use either Internet Explorer or Fire Fox only. All Access will work on all browsers.
Q. Do I need any special software on the computer I use?
A. No, not to access the My Edward website.
Q. How do I setup my Authentication Questions?
A. First, you'll need to make sure you have an active network ID and password.
Once you have an active network ID go to www.edward.org and click on "For Employees" in the top right bar from any computer. Select "First Time User?" to initiate the creation of your Authentication Questions.
Q. How do I know if I need to setup Authentication Questions?
A. You'll need to set up Authentication Questions if you wish to access the My Edward website remotely and have not had remote access before. You will need them to authenticate to the Edward system.
Q. I forgot the answers to the Authentication Questions. How do I reset them?
A. In the event that you cannot remember the answers to your Authentication Questions you will need to go to the ISS helpdesk and show your ID to have the remote access account reset, then you would setup the Authentication Questions again. This is a mandatory procedure as we have no other way of verifying your identity.

Q. What are the system requirements to access HRXpress?
A. Below are the requirements needed to support HRXpress.
Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows Vista
Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher
Processor: Pentium II or higher
Memory: At least 128 MB RAM; 256 MB RAM is preferrered
Disk: Variable. Depends on what needs to be stored on the PC
Resolution: 1024 x 768
MAC's are not supported at this time..
