Minimally Invasive Surgery: Endoscopy
Endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure used to examine hard-to-reach organs inside the body, such as the digestive tract, lungs, pancreas or rectum. At Edward Hospital, our state-of-the-art endoscopy lab is equipped with the latest screening and diagnostic technology, including endoscopic ultrasound. Our 16 pre- and post-procedure endoscopy suites are staffed with specially trained doctors, nurses and technicians and our in-house anesthesia specialists. Edward provides an advanced level of endoscopic care, start to finish. Learn more about endoscopy at Edward.
Minimally Invasive Surgery: Laparoscopic
Laparoscopic surgery (also called minimally invasive surgery) is performed with tiny tools inserted into the body through a thin, lighted tub called a laparoscope. Advantages include smaller incisions or, in some cases, no incision at all. This almost always means there's less pain, less bleeding, a lower risk of complications and a faster and more comfortable recovery. Learn more about laparoscopic gynecological surgery.
