Our Occupational Therapists work closely with each other as well as physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each patient receives the most appropriate and highest quality of care. Our focus is on a personalized, team approach to patient care, with the focus on getting to know our patient's needs and goals.
Services are provided by licensed occupational therapists. Our occupational therapists (OTR/Ls) are graduates from scholastic programs accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). They are required to complete at least six months of clinical experience and pass the certification exam administered by the National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Additionally, all are required to maintain licensure from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation which requires yearly continuing education. Some of our OTR/L's also hold additional credentials in lymphedema and hand therapy.
