Edward Hospital has received Joint Commission Disease-Specific Certification for Advanced Primary Stroke Center and the Joint Commission has designated Edward a Stroke Center of Excellence, one of 17 Primary Stroke Centers in the Chicago area. In addition, Edward has been recognized by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association's Get With the GuidelinesSM program for achievement in cardiac and stroke patient care.
