At Linden Oaks, we realize that not only adults suffer from behavioral health conditions. At least one in five children and adolescents suffer from a behavioral health disorder. When untreated, behavioral health disorders can lead to school failure, family conflicts, drug abuse, violence, and even suicide. It is critical to get help as soon as possible.
At Linden Oaks, we have experts who specialize in the treatment of adolescents. In addition to treating kids with depression, anxiety, anger, anti-social disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and more, we also offer programs specifically for adolescents including:
The School at Linden Oaks
Adolescent patients in our Inpatient and Partial programs attend the School at Linden Oaks for one or two hours per day. The School is staffed by six state-certified teachers, with endorsements in Special Education, English, Social Studies, Science and Mathematics.
The School at Linden Oaks works with a patient’s home school, obtaining homework that is current with what other students in the patients’ class are completing. Teachers work one-on-one with the patients to complete their work, provide notes and support materials, and return completed work to the school to ensure that the patients are more successful upon their return.
Linden Oaks also has two school liaisons who help to facilitate a successful return to school when our patients leave programming.
