Freedom from Smoking provides a supportive and structured approach to quitting smoking. The program is taught by American Lung Association trained instructors with the ultimate goal of helping individuals overcome their addiction and enjoy the benefits of better health. This 4-day summer day camp is specially designed for children, ages 7-12, who have asthma. Children will learn how to manage their asthma and still have fun. This camp is staffed by respiratory therapists and other medically trained staff. Campers will take part in sports, games and crafts, and have a camp-in day while learning about different aspects of asthma in fun and interactive classroom lessons. $40 camp fee. Call 630-527-6363 to register. Pre-registration is required. Seating is limited. "Camperships" are available upon request to cover the fee for those who have financial needs.
