Edward's Healing Arts program taps into the power of music, artwork, and animals to help patients feel relaxed and more comfortable during their hospital stay.
Professional musicians – including violinists, harpists, and classical guitarists –perform in hallways and lobbies to create a relaxing environment for patients. Many hallways throughout the hospital are used as rotating art galleries, showcasing artwork and photography created by local artists.

Animal-assisted therapy
Specially trained dogs and their handlers visit with participating patients to reduce stress and make hospital stays more enjoyable. Here is a link to more information about our growing animal-assisted therapy program. In order to be eligible, dogs are trained through the Midwest Canine Academy, and are certified through Therapy Dogs, Inc.
